The Norway teenager Martin Odegaard came to Real Madrid on the back of great expectations but failed to meet the standards and ended up being loaned out to gain experience before he could hope to return and make an impact with the European champions.
Odegaard seems to be headed in the right direction and – at a delicate age of 18 – he still has all the time in the world ahead of him.
The most recent performance of his – for Norway U21s in a 3-1 victory against Germany U21s – shows that Odegaard has improved immensely and that only sky is the limit.
