Marca is reporting that Real Madrid have cooled off interest in Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.
Los Blancos had several unsuccessful attempts to lure the former Atletico Madrid star to Santiago Bernabeu, and they have reportedly given up on the highly rated footballer.
It is not that Real Madrid couldn’t persuade Man Utd to sell, but rather head coach Zinedine Zidane informed the club chiefs that he was happy to keep Keylor Navas as his number one.
The Costa Rica hotshot appears to have finally proved his worth to the boss and club board, and he will enter the new campaign as the first choice.
Kiko Casilla will continue to play second fiddle to Navas, whereas Luca Zidane is likely to be third in the pecking order.
Keylor Navas made a total of 67 La Liga appearances since arriving from Levante, while featuring in 23 Champions League games as Real won back to back trophies.
