Real Madrid go after Haaland

According to a recent report from AS, Real Madrid are willing to pay whatever it takes in order to try and secure the signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland. The belief is that Real have decided the young Norwegian is the man they want to look towards as a possible replacement for Karim Benzema, as the Frenchman prepares to finally leave the Bernabeu after many years of service.

Madrid have been interested in bringing in a new forward for longer than most of us can remember, but they haven’t quite settled on one main priority. Now, it seems as if Haaland is that priority, as he continues to thrive in his role as one of football’s best goalscorers this year.

Whether or not he’d be interested in leaving the German giants so soon after joining is a different matter altogether, especially given the current uncertainty surrounding the transfer window’s future.
