Tension has been mounting between Real Madrid midfielder Guti and Juande Ramos because the coach has decided to drop the player from his starting XI in recent weeks.

In the final stages of the game at Malaga, physical trainer Jordi Garcia approached Guti and ordered Guti to put on his playing kit. The 32-year-old allegedly replied, “I am not going to go out now.”

According to El Mundo Deportivo programme ‘Noticias Cuatros’, Guti was caught telling team-mates Javi Garcia and Javier Saviola on the bench earlier in the game, “Today, I am not going to go out [onto the pitch]. Javi, you are going to be the first one in.

“With this result presumably when Madrid were leading 1-0, Juande is going to remove a centre-forward and send in a central midfielder, which is not going to be me.”
