Real Madrid striker Jose Luis Mato Sanmartin has completed a switch to Hoffenheim, the Bundesliga club have announced on their official website.
The 22-year-old, who was born in Stuttgart, has signed a four-year deal with the Bundesliga outfit, but the cost of the transfer was not disclosed.
Joselu has already joined his teammates for his first training session, but he will need some time before he is ready for first team action.
Hoffenheim managed to wrap up the deal after the lengthy negotiations with Real Madrid and boss Markus Babbel didn’t hide his excitement about club’s latest capture.
“Joselu has already demonstrated his class at Real Madrid,” Babbel said to club’s official website.
“But he’s still young as well and has a lot of potential. He fits in perfectly in this team and at Hoffenheim.”
The talented forward has been in scintillating form last season, having scored 26 goals in 36 Segunda games for Real Madrid B side.
The youngster has been heavily linked with a move to English Premier League, but he ultimately opted to accept an offer from Hoffenheim.
