Catalan daily newspaper Sport has suggested that Real Madrid are readying a new approach for Bayern Munich hotshot David Alaba.
The Austrian defender has been on los Blancos’ radar for quite some time, and they now seem ready to step up their interest.
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has been concerned by injuries to Marcelo and Theo Hernandez, and he has instructed the club officials to try and agree a deal for Alaba.
This is not going to be an easy task considering that the 25-year-old recently signed a contract extension until June 2021.
Bar a six-month loan spell with Hoffenheim, Alaba has spent his entire career up to date at Allianz Arena, making 171 Bundesliga appearances and scoring 14 goals.
