Real Madrid in fresh assault on De Gea
Champions League holders Real Madrid are stepping up their efforts to sign David De Gea from Manchester United, AS can reveal.
It is no secret that los Blancos are eager to lure the Spain international to Santiago Bernabeu and they are set to try and sign him in the next transfer window.
With long-serving keeper Iker Casillas nearing a summer exit, Real Madrid plan to recruit De Gea at the earliest opportunity.
The 24-year-old has proved his worth at Old Trafford, but his current contract is due to expire in June 2016.
And while the goalkeeper is open to extending his deal, his agents hope to include a €30 million release clause in any agreement, which is enough to suggest they are well aware of Real Madrid interest.
De Gea’s strained relationship with manager Louis van Gaal could also aid los Blancos, seeing as the pair has not talked for months, according to the reports.
Abdennour reveals Tottenham contact
Monaco defender Aymen Abdennour has moved to confirm that he has been on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs attempted to sign the Tunisian centre-back in the January window, and they remain keen on his signature.
Speaking ahead of the Champions League clash with Arsenal, Abdennour has revealed he is well aware of the Tottenham interest.
“Yes, I am aware of it. But, I am at Monaco and I am concentrating on my club,” the 25-year-old confessed to Le Parisien.
“Why not? Now, we must always be patient. Things will come naturally. I do not put any pressure on myself because I feel very good at Monaco.
”This (Premier League) is a championship that I like because there are big games. I love it!”
Aymen Abdennour joined Monaco from Toulouse last summer and has since featured in 16 Ligue 1 fixtures.
Porto eyeing Andre Andre
Portuguese midfielder Andre Andre is on the radar of Primeira Liga giants FC Porto, according to O Jogo.
The Dragons attempted to recruit the highly rated footballer in the winter transfer window, but were unable to reach an agreement with his employers.
But, with coach Julen Lopetegui a big fan of the 25-year-old midfielder, FC Porto are expected to make things right next summer.
The interesting thing is that Andre Andre has already spent a couple of years at Estadio do Dragao after leaving Varzim, but he soon returned to the club where it all started for him.
Following several impressive campaigns with the Portuguese minnows, Andre joined Vitoria Guimaraes in 2012 and has since largely impressed in the top flight.
The central midfielder has managed 16 goals and 6 assists in 70 league outings for Vitoria, and is currently club’s highest scorer with 11 goals.
