Spanish newspaper AS has suggested that Real Madrid are in negotiations to sign an unnamed French footballer.
The source has learned that Florentino Perez had sent his private plane to Verona to fly the father of the player to the meeting on the outskirts of Madrid.
It is believed that the footballer was recommended to club chiefs by Raphael Varane, who is slowly becoming a key player for los Blancos.
AS claims that there is a good chance that Juventus starlet Paul Pogba is the player in question, since the former Manchester United midfielder is the same age as the Real Madrid defender, with whom he has an excellent relationship.
Milan forward M’Baye Niang is another possibility, while los Blancos have also been linked with Geoffrey Kondogbia and Blaise Matuidi of late.
This is enough to suggest that Real Madrid officials are already planning for the next season, as they hope to mount a serious title challenge in all the competitions entered.
