Real Madrid interest in Fulham star confirmed
Real Madrid are interested in recruiting Fulham forward Moussa Dembele, according to the player’s agent.
Los Blancos are searching for new reinforcements and they are currently working on the transfer of Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric.
Meanwhile, los Blancos are pondering a shock swoop for Fulham forward Moussa Dembele, the player’s representative has revealed.
“Real Madrid have contacted us and asked about Moussa Dembele’s availability,” agent Jan de Visser explained to De Telegraaf.
“They are not the first big club to make enquiries about Moussa this summer, though.”
The Belgian international has just one year left on his deal at Craven Cottage, meaning that he is now available at a cut-back price.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed a bright start to his career at Fulham, even if he only scored 5 goals in 60 Premier League games.
Having said that, Dembele seem to have enough quality to make it at the biggest stage, although Santiago Bernabeu is hardly the perfect destination for him.
Udinese make Armero available for sale
Udinese have added fuel to speculations linking star midfielder Pablo Armero with a summer exit from Friuli by declaring the player was available for sale.
The Serie A side have already cashed in on Maurizio Isla, Kwadwo Asamoah and Samir Handanovic, but they have no intention to stop there.
Pablo Armero, who has been widely tipped to join Juventus, is also expected to leave the club this summer.
“We have already sold a number of important players, but others will arrive. Is anyone else on the list? Armero is the only player on the market,” Udinese chairman Franco Soldati confessed to Radio CRC.
“Negotiations could happen with Napoli, though right now he has zero chance of going there because we are not in talks. Other teams are interested in the player, though.
“If Armero wants to leave, then we will let him go. If Aurelio De Laurentiis or anyone else were to call us up, the situation would be resolved in a matter of minutes.”
Despite selling their best players season after season and mostly recruiting unproven youngsters, Udinese always manage to stay near the top of Serie A standings and keep a healthy balance in the bank while doing so.
Tottenham ponder Cissokho swoop
French newspaper La Parisien understands that Tottenham are showing interest in Lyon defender Aly Cissokho.
The experienced defender has set his sights on leaving Gerland, but les Gones are not prepared to let him go for less than €11 million.
Napoli, Liverpool, Newcastle and Everton have been showing interest in the highly rated full-back, but they have been put off by the high asking price.
Le Parisien now reports that Tottenham have moved in front of the queue, although it remains to be seen whether Spurs are willing to match Lyon’s valuation of the player.
The Premier League side are looking to sign Cissokho as a cover for Benoit Assou-Ekotto, who remained the only left-back at White Hart Lane when Gareth Bale was moved further up the field.
Aly Cissokho, who has amassed 91 Ligue 1 appearances for Lyon, would definitely be a good addition to the squad, but paying €11 million for a defender who is likely to be second choice doesn’t seem like the right thing to do.
