Real Madrid are interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that if defending La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners Madrid are unable to bring Loftus-Cheek to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season, then they will try to secure the services of the England international midfielder on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.
Loftus-Cheek has made 17 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea so far this season. The 27-year-old midfielder has also made two starts and five substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for the Blues so far this campaign, providing one assist in the process.
Madrid are second in the La Liga table at the moment with 62 points from 29 matches, as many as 11 points behind leaders and bitter rivals Barcelona. Meanwhile, Chelsea currently find themselves 11th in the Premier League table with 39 points from 31 games.
