According to a recent report from AS, Red Bull Salzburg star Erling Haaland has now attracted the attention of European giants Real Madrid as the race to sign the teenage goalscoring sensation continues. With 18 goals in 11 games, including a lightning-quick start to his Champions League campaign, Haaland seems to be on the verge of breaking out into the upper echelons of world football.
In addition to Real Madrid, Juventus, Liverpool and Manchester United are all said to be in the hunt, with Haaland actually managing to score at Anfield during Salzburg’s tense Champions League tie with Jurgen Klopp’s men.
There are plenty of different directions this can go in but for the time being, Haaland just seems to be enjoying life in Austria. Given the kind of form he’s been in and the kind of treatment he has been receiving from his local fans, we can’t say that we blame the guy.
