According to a recent report from Tuttosport, Spanish giants Real Madrid have looked towards Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico as a potential replacement for Marcelo. It’s no secret that the Brazilian fullback is edging closer and closer towards an exit from the Bernabeu, with Juventus being his preferred destination. As a result the European champions are already starting to look ahead to the future, which is arguably the best thing that they could be doing right now.
The 26 year old Tagliafico was been with Ajax since last year, when he made the jump over from Independiente. His own agent has revealed that he is on the radar of Real, which was likely done in order to try and speed up the process.
They’d likely have to wait until the summer transfer window before pushing the deal through, but when it happens, it seems like there’s a good chance Nicolas will be the first choice left back for the club.
