Real Madrid interested in van de Beek

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, the expectation is that Gareth Bale’s seemingly inevitable departure from Real Madrid is going to swing the door wide open for Real Madrid to go after a series of potential transfers, with two of the main ones being Donny van de Beek and Christian Eriksen.

The Eriksen interest, in particular, has been fairly well documented, but nobody really knew what the status was in regards to van de Beek. The Ajax midfielder was one of the few major stars within the club that stayed on the books during the summer transfer window, as they continue to try and force their way back into the conversation for winning the Champions League this season.

Real had let it be known in the past that they were interested in signing van de Beek, but given how many priorities they had, nobody really knew how serious it was.
