Somewhat surprising transfer rumours are spreading over in England with Liverpool midfielder Emre Can being linked with a shock Real Madrid swoop.
The German international is widely expected to leave Anfield at the end of the season with Juventus being tipped as the likeliest new destination.
Bianconeri have done little to conceal their admiration for the 24-year-old over the past couple of months but appear to be losing the patience over the lack of progress in concluding the deal for the Liverpool midfielder.
Juventus are offering a five-year deal worth a basic £8.8 million per season, which would see the German international remain in Turin until 2023.
With time slowly ticking on the offer, Gazzetta dello Sport is now reporting that Serie A giants have given Emre Can a week-long deadline to agree a move to Turin.
However, the same source acknowledges that La Liga reigning champions Real Madrid are monitoring the situation as well, ready to pounce on the first occasion and hijack the deal.
