Spanish newspaper AS understands that Real Madrid are the latest club to have joined the race for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski.
The Polish forward has already agreed to sign for Bayern Munich when his contract at Signal-Iduna Park expires next summer, but it looks as though new Bavarians boss Pep Guardiola is not too keen on adding the player to his ranks.
Real Madrid are closely monitoring the situation and everything suggests they will attempt to snatch Lewandowski from under Bayern’s noses.
Los Blancos have been disappointed by the performances of Karim Benzema, who has scored mere 2 goals in 8 La Liga starts this term.
They are, therefore, hoping to sign a new high-profile striker at the earliest opportunity and they appear to be readying move for Lewandowski.
The Spanish giants already sit five points adrift of Barcelona in the league standings, and are 11/4 to overturn the deficit and win the La Liga trophy.
