AC Milan and Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has caught the eye of the Spanish giants Real Madrid according to reports from Spain and Italy.
The 17-year-old shot stopper has been turning heads ever since he was promoted to Milan’s first team by former Rossoneri coach Sinisa Mihajlovic last season with the talented goalkeeper going from strength to strength.
Gianluigi Donnarumma has made his first-ever senior appearance for Italy last week in a friendly match against France when he became the youngest ever Italian goalkeeper and the youngest Azzurri player since 1911.
His immense potential has not been left unnoticed by Europe’s greatest clubs and, according to reports from Corriere dello Sport, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has already identified the Milan starlet as one of the top priorities in the future.
Los Blancos are on the lookout for the long-term solution between the sticks and with David de Gea committed to Manchester United after a failed attempt to land in Madrid, Florentino Perez believes that Donnarumma would be a perfect solution.
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane does not share the same idea as the French legend plans to promote his 18-year-old son Luca to the first-team however.
