Talented goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is the latest gem to emerge from La Liga side Athletic Bilbao.
The 22-year-old shot stopper has claimed the starting role with the Basque side, making 23 La Liga starts last season and three at the beginning of the new season.
Kepa was selected as the backup option for Spanish No.1 goalkeeper David De Gea in the recently finished World Cup qualifiers and is seen as a natural successor to Manchester United star in the future.
Atletico Bilbao are facing a proper struggle in efforts to keep the talented star. The Basque side have offered their youngster a new deal aiming to insert a €65 million release clause in an offer to safeguard their gem from intensifying interest but Kepa is yet to commit himself to a new deal.
In the meantime, Real Madrid did little to conceal their intentions as Los Blancos continue to cast admiring glances towards the 22-year-old.
Seen as potentially fantastic addition to their growing list of young Spanish stars, Kepa is wanted at Santiago Bernabeu and the Spanish media outlet Marca claim that Real Madrid are ready to advance with their attack towards the Spanish shot-stopper as early as January.
