French media outlet L’Equipe understands that Real Madrid are set to rekindle their interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti.
It is no secret that los Blancos head coach Zindine Zidane is a big fan of the Italian footballer, and he is hoping to bring him to Santiago Bernabeu in the near future.
Marco Verratti has so far resisted temptation to leave the Saints for greener pastures, but he could change his mind if PSG continue with disappointing performances.
The 23-year-old has a contract until June 2021 at Parc des Princes and is regarded a key member of the squad, but he is likely to be tempted by the interest from Madrid.
Marco Verratti has spent last four years with the Saints having joined from Pescara and he went on to score 3 goals in 110 Ligue 1 outings, while featuring in another 13 Champions League fixtures.
