Spanish giants Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on Benfica starlet Renato Sanches, according to AS.
Los Blancos have been impressed with the midfielder’s performances this season and they could attempt to lure him to Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.
It is no secret that Bayern Munich and Manchester United are also among clubs showing interest in the 18-year-old footballer.
Having seen so many high-profile clubs cast admiring glances towards Renato Sanches, Benfica initially increased his release clause from €30m to €45m.
After finding out about Real Madrid’s interest, the Eagles further raised the amount to €80 million, although it is believed they would consider offers in the region of €60 million.
And if los Blancos or another top side decide to match Benfica’s asking price any time soon, Renato Sanches will become the most expensive player in Primeira Liga history, with Hulk’s €55m move to Zenit the current record holder.
