Real Madrid are following the progress of Alphonso Davies at Bayern Munich with a view to a potential transfer in the near future, according to Marca.
The 21-year-old is considered one of the best prospects in the world when it comes to playing on the left defensive flank, and he remains an important player for both Bayern and the Canadian national team, despite numerous fitness and health issues hampering his contribution on the pitch so far. He has had various injuries and a heart problem, and most recently he suffered a head injury in the 2-2 draw against Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker, but as the report states, these setbacks haven’t taken him off Real’s radar when it comes to their plans for the future.
Davies joined the Bundesliga champions from Vancouver in 2019 and signed a new five-year contract a year later, which obviously means he’s tied to Bayern until the summer of 2025. If Real indeed intend to prize him away from the Allianz Arena, they would surely have to pay most dearly for his services.
