Real Madrid are monitoring Raheem Sterling’s situation as talks over a new contract at Liverpool have stalled, according to the Daily Star.
The midfielder, who is closing in on his one hundredth appearances for the Reds, has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu in recent months though the Reds are desperate to secure his services.
However, with the Merseyside club crashing out of the Champions League this week, the twenty year old may be tempted by a potential move to the Spanish giants, who are the holders of Europe’s top club competition having beaten City rivals in the final in Lisbon back in May.
This season, Sterling has turned out for Brendan Rodgers’ side twenty-two times in all competitions with all three of his goals coming in the league.
He has also now racked up thirteen caps for England having made his debut under Roy Hodgson just over two years ago.
