According to a recent report from The Athletic, Real Madrid are still leading the race to sign Eduardo Camavinga.
The 17-year-old sensation has already done some fantastic things with Rennes and because of that, he’s caught the eye of many top clubs across European football. Real have been in the hunt for the longest time but Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have both also made their interest known in recent months.
There are still a few months left to go before we enter the January transfer window and it’s silly to be presumptuous, but if Real are serious about bringing through a new youth movement at the Bernabeu, taking on someone like Camavinga would be a really strong place to start.
If nothing else he has youth and potential on his side and Madrid have proven that they can turn that into a global superstar in the past. United and Spurs will feel they can do the same thing, but it’s far from a guarantee.
