Real Madrid are set to launch a new assault on Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi, reports France Football.
The highly rated midfielder has just over six months left on his deal at Parc des Princes and it is looking increasingly likely that he will be leaving the Saints at the end of the season.
The player’s representative is currently in talks with PSG officials over a new deal, but chances are that Matuidi will also listen to offers from abroad.
According to France Football, Real Madrid plan to take advantage of the situation and present the midfielder with an offer he cannot refuse.
Matuidi will be free to speak to interested sides from 1st January, and los Blancos do seem to be leading the chase for his signature at the moment.
Paris Saint-Germain continue to lead the chase in French Ligue 1, with the Saints 1/8 favourites to defend the league title.
