Real Madrid are preparing a £30 million bid for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, according to The Sun.
Los Blancos boss Jose Mourinho is looking to improve his attacking options in January and is reportedly reading bid for the Manchester United forward.
However, Sir Alex Ferguson is determined to keep hold of the Mexico international and is prepared to offer him a significantly improved contract.
United are ready to offer Hernandez a new five-year deal worth £75,000 per week, tripling his wages from £25,000.
The only problem is that Real are willing to offer the player double that amount as well as pay United £30 million for his services.
Sir Alex Ferguson has just tied promising midfielder Tom Cleverley to a new long-term deal and will be hoping to do the same with Chicharito.
