According to reports in England, Real Madrid are said to be closer than ever when it comes to potentially making a move for Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling. The European champions supposedly had representatives in the stadium during England’s win over Spain, in which Sterling scored twice to help the Three Lions towards an important victory.
Sterling has really come into his own during his last few seasons at the Etihad, to the point where he’s considered to be one of their key stars. Raheem also played a big role in helping City to win the Premier League title this season, and will be instrumental in helping them retain it this time around.
Real, on the other hand, appear to be somewhat scrambling to find some more superstars to fill their ranks. They’ve struggled to really get a foothold in the campaign thus far, with a lot of the blame being placed on the shoulders of Julen Lopetegui.
