European champions Real Madrid are doubling down the efforts to sign Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen.
Ever since his 2013 arrival from Ajax, Eriksen has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most consistent performer and Real Madrid believe Denmark international is just what their squad is lacking since Cristiano Ronaldo left Madrid.
Eriksen scored 62 goals and provided 79 assists for Tottenham and would be a great reinforcement to Real Madrid’s faltering attack line.
In an attempt to lower the price Tottenham are demanding for their star, Real Madrid are now willing to include James Rodriguez in any potential deal with the Spurs.
Diario AS claims Los Blancos would like to offer a part-exchange deal involving money plus the Colombian international, whose own future remains in doubt.
Rodriguez is currently on a two-year loan at Bayern Munich but is not expected to remain in Germany for much longer given his current squad status.
