Real Madrid open to Varane departure

According to a recent report from Daily Mirror, Real Madrid are open to the possibility of selling Raphael Varane to Manchester United.

The Frenchman’s contract is set to come to an end next summer and many are already beginning to question what the next step could be for him in his career.

Varane won the World Cup with France back in 2018 and has also enjoyed a great deal of club success with Real in the last few years. If he did decide to go, you’d have to imagine it’d be because he wants a fresh change of pace – and a brand new challenge at the same time.

You’d have to think Manchester United have the money and resources necessary to bring him over to Old Trafford if they so desired, and given the defensive problems they’ve had in recent years, this definitely feels like one to keep an eye on.
