Real Madrid are planning to launch a bid for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney in the summer, according to Spanish newspaper Sport.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is keen to bring in Rooney in order to minimize the impact their Champions League exit have had on the fans.
Rooney has been outstanding for United this season, scoring 30 goals in all competitions for the club.
Real signed Cristiano Ronaldo from United last summer and it is expected that they will struggle to sign Rooney this summer.
The Spanish side could have to tempt United with yet another world record bid for the United striker.
