Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has once again emerged as a transfer target for Spanish giants Real Madrid, according to Chilevision.
The 27-year-old forward has been going back and forth with his new contract at Arsenal, which is still on hold and Arsenal fans fear they might just end up losing one of their favourites in the final days of the summer transfer market.
According to reports from the Chilean television network, Zinedine Zidane has identified former Barcelona man Alexis Sanchez as one of the top targets and a player who would be an upgrade to out of favour James Rodriguez.
French manager believes Sanchez would be a great addition to Los Blancos’ pace and attacking potential and is ready to open negotiations with his compatriot Arsene Wenger.
Arsenal are unwilling to let their star player go, but could be tempted into selling the Chilean if Real Madrid decide to let Alvaro Morata go the opposite direction.
