According to a recent report from AS, Real Madrid are getting more and more confident in their ability to sign Kylian Mbappe during next summer’s transfer window. Despite the Frenchman being heavily linked with a move to Liverpool as of late, the belief is that he will instead be persuaded by Real’s stature and overwhelming financial edge.
Real are willing to pay a world record fee that could wind up being in excess of £260 million in order to get the deal done. A move of this magnitude will obviously take quite some time to complete, as we’ve come to expect with teams that play at this level.
Mbappe really burst into the mainstream during last year’s FIFA World Cup, which ended with him scoring one of France’s four goals in the final as they beat Croatia to become world champions. After managing to sustain that momentum, he’s ready to reach that next level.
