Real Madrid pursue Pochettino

According to a recent report from Sport, Real Madrid have been in contact with Mauricio Pochettino over their managerial position.

The plan would be for Pochettino to replace Zinedine Zidane in what would be one of the most seismic moves in recent memory. Ever since he left Tottenham Hotspur fans have been waiting to see what the Argentine’s next move is going to be with some believing he is destined to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the new Manchester United manager.

There are so very many plates spinning in the air but if Zidane wants to keep his job at the Bernabeu, he needs to rediscover the consistency that made him such a star in the first few years of his management career. Sure, there are other jobs out there for him if he loses, but we get the sense that he doesn’t want to hand over the keys to the castle just yet.
