Spanish radio programme El Partido de la Una claims European Champions Real Madrid are interested in Genoa hotshot Krzysztof Piatek.
Los Blancos are said to be extremely interested in bringing one of Europe’s most prolific strikers this season to the Bernabeu this winter in an effort to bolster their faltering forward line.
Piatek has enjoyed a highly successful campaign this year in the Serie A. With 13 goals in 19 league matches, he is currently the league’s second top scorer behind Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Polish striker has emerged as one of Europe’s most wanted forwards with a line of continent’s top clubs said to be hot on his trail but Real Madrid appear to be in the driving seat for his signature.
The aforementioned radio programme claims, however, Real Madrid would only want to bring Krzysztof Piatek on loan until the end of the season. The 23-year-old is wanted as a short-term upgrade to Los Blancos’ attack, whereas his long-term future would then be decided at the end of the campaign.
