According to a recent report from AS, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to put forward a late bid for Kylian Mbappe.
The summer transfer window is always full of monumental moves and in the wake of Lionel Messi’s departure from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, we knew this was a summer unlike any other.
Perez is typically known for striking his biggest and best deals late in the window and in this instance, there’s a belief that he could do so again – this time on deadline day itself.
Mbappe alongside Neymar and Messi would arguably be the greatest front three in the history of the beautiful game, but if he wants to be featured as the main star, the long-rumoured move to the Bernabeu could open up a whole new door for him.
The Frenchman needs to make a statement after a disappointing end to his Euro 2020 campaign and Real would certainly provide him with the opportunity to do just that.
