According to a recent report from AS, Real Madrid are gearing up to sell Gareth Bale during the summer transfer window. The club’s president Florentino Perez has reportedly ran out of patience with Bale, who has had an uneasy time of things at the Bernabeu in the last few years. The report suggests that the only thing which could change Perez’s mind is an ‘outstanding’ end to the season for Bale, who scored twice in Real’s Champions League final win last May.
Bale has been with Madrid since back in 2013, when he made the then-world record jump over from Tottenham Hotspur. It was a move that had been in the pipeline for quite some time, and it’s fair to say that he’s enjoyed his fair share of success since joining.
Bale first made his debut for the Welsh national team in 2006, and has become a talisman for his country ever since then.
