According to recent reports over in Italy, Real Madrid are said to have reignited their interest in signing Mauro Icardi. This move comes as a direct consequence of Zinedine Zidane’s return to the club, with the Frenchman being set to make some big changes during the summer. Icardi’s future at Inter remains incredibly uncertain, with the majority of fans expecting him to leave sooner rather than later. The 26 year old has made it known that he is no longer happy at the San Siro, despite being there since 2013 when he made the jump over from Sampdoria. He is considered to be one of their best goalscorers of all time, but that still doesn’t mean he isn’t open to the idea of looking elsewhere.
The Argentine international would have the chance to make a real name for himself at Real, especially if he has the right kind of services coming from either side of the pitch.
