According to a recent report from AS, Real Madrid are set to demand around £44 million in order to agree to the sale of midfielder Dani Ceballos. The 23-year-old has been on loan at Arsenal throughout the course of the current campaign, with the belief now being that the Gunners will have to pay their fourth-highest transfer fee ever in order to keep him on the books.
While Ceballos may have initially made a positive start to life at the Emirates, he’s been a whole lot more inconsistent in recent months. There’s a decent chance that he’ll be given the ‘keys to the castle’ so to speak by Mikel Arteta once football is allowed to return in the form of regular appearances in the starting XI, but of course, that isn’t going to guarantee success.
Real, on the other hand, will know that he’s still quite the commodity, and that letting him go for any cheaper than this could be a mistake.
