Real Madrid set for big departures

According to a recent report from AS, Real Madrid will attempt to move Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard, Isco and Marcelo on in the next nine months.

While Barcelona may be struggling with their finances quite severely, Madrid seem to be handling things slightly better.

Even so, though, they want to try and save upwards of €100 million – and they’ll be looking to release some big names in order to do so.

All of the players in question have previously been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu but nothing concrete has ever come of it. Now, however, with the landscape of Spanish football changing with each and every passing day, there could be room for them to completely alter the way in which they operate as an elite-level club.

One has to wonder whether or not this will also pave the way for the long awaited signing of Kylian Mbappe.
