According to Marca, Real Madrid officials will meet with Luka Modric tomorrow in order to discuss his future at the club. There has been a great deal of speculation regarding whether or not the Croatian midfielder would stay at the Bernabeu or leave for Inter Milan, with the Italian club expressing their interest in the 32-year-old.
Following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, it is thought that holding onto Modric is going to be a number one priority for Real, especially given that rivals Barcelona are also looking to strengthen significantly ahead of the new campaign.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez initially set a figure of €750 million, which is Modric’s release clause, as the amount that Inter would have to pay in order to lure him away from the club.
Now, however, if Modric shows interest in moving elsewhere, it’s thought that they’ll come to some kind of arrangement before the Italian transfer window closes.
