European Champions Real Madrid have completed the signing of James Rodriguez from Monaco for £63million, according to Sky Sports.
The 23 year old, who won the Golden Boot at this summer’s World Cup finals with six goals in five games, is set to be unveiled by the La Liga giants this evening after penning a lucrative six year deal.
His tally in Brazil included a stunning volley against Uruguay, which was voted as goal of the tournament.
Rodriguez only moved to Monaco last season, when the Ligue 1 side paid Porto £38.5million to secure his services.
He made thirty-four league appearances last season, scoring nine goals and making twelve assists.
The lofty transfer fee is the fifth highest of all time following new teammates Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona pair Luis Suarez and Neymar.
Real Madrid are favourites to win La Liga next season at a price of 5/6.
