Spanish daily newspaper Marca is reporting that Real Madrid are hot on the trail of Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes.
The Portuguese footballer has become one of the hottest commodities in Spanish La Liga, and there is a good chance he will be leaving Mestalla for greener pastures this summer.
The likes of Barcelona, Juventus, Chelsea, Liverpool, Napoli and PSG are all keen on his services, but Marca claims that Real Madrid are looking to move front of the queue.
Los Blancos appear to have cooled off interest in Juventus hotshot Paul Pogba, and are now attempting to secure Andre Gomes’ signature instead.
It is believed that it would take at least €60 million to persuade Valencia to sell, and the negotiations will not be a walk in the park considering the history between the La Liga rivals.
This is exactly why Real Madrid officials have tried to keep their interest secret as los Che fans would not be happy to see one if their star players move to Santiago Bernabeu.
