According to a recent report from L’Equipe, Real Madrid’s representatives are attempting to convince Zinedne Zidane to approve a move for Christian Eriksen. The Danish attacking midfielder has hinted at the possibility of a move away from Tottenham during the summer transfer window, in the wake of their Champions League final defeat to Liverpool in Madrid. Eriksen is considered to be one of the most exciting playmakers in world football today, which is one of the primary reasons as to why he’s being so heavily linked with a switch to the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid already have an incredibly impressive roster of stars within their ranks, and with that in mind, it doesn’t seem like Eriksen being a consistent first team starter is a guarantee.
If there is one thing we have come to learn over the years, it’s that you probably shouldn’t trust Zidane’s judgement when it comes to former Tottenham Hotspur players (hello Gareth Bale).
