Real Madrid target Maicon won’t force transfer

(GSM) – Maicon insists he won’t ask away from Internazionale.

Real Madrid have been strongly linked with the Brazilian full-back while Manchester City are also after the 28-year-old according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Inter won’t allow him to leave for less than €35 million.

Club president Massimo Moratti admitted yesterday he was unsure if Maicon would start the season with the Champions League winners.

“I do not want to run away, but if Moratti decides to sell, I will leave – but only to the club where I want to go,” said Maicon.

“I’m going on a break. If I get a call, I will be happy to continue with coach (Rafa) Benitez at Internazionale …”
