Real Madrid to bid for Bonucci

Real Madrid are set to submit an official proposal for Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci, Tuttosport can reveal.

Los Blancos may see Sergio Ramos leave the club this summer and they have now made the Italy hotshot their primary target.

According to Tuttosport, new Real coach Rafael Benitez is a big fan of the 28-year-old footballer, who has played a key role in helping Juventus lift four Serie A trophies on the bounce.

The same source has suggested that los Blancos are readying a €30 million offer for the player, who would be earning €4 million per campaign at Santiago Bernabeu, meaning his wage would be more than doubled.

Bonucci has another two years left on his contract in Turin and his representatives are currently negotiating a new deal for their client.

Juventus hope to tie down the centre-back until June 2019, increasing his yearly wage from just under €2 million to €3 million per season.
