Real Madrid to bid for Busquets

Spanish daily newspaper AS has suggested that Real Madrid are hot on the trail of Barcelona youngster Oriol Busquets.

The 18-year-old has shown a great deal of potential playing for the reserves this season and he was in turn rewarded with his senior debut in Copa del Rey.

However, Busquets will be out of contract at the end of the season and his agents have so far failed to reach an agreement with the Catalans.

According to reports, this is something that arch rivals Real Madrid will attempt to take advantage of and bring the talented midfielder to Santiago Bernabeu.

However, AS claims that Barcelona officials remain confident that Oriol Busquets will soon be signing a new long-term deal at Camp Nou.
