Real Madrid to meet Aguero’s release clause
Real Madrid are prepared to offer €28 million plus Alvaro Negredo for Atletico Madrid forward Kun Aguero, according to Marca.
The Argentina international has just signed a new deal at Atletico, with the buyout clause now standing at €45 million.
Los Merengues are prepared to meet the release clause, although they plan to offer €28 million plus striker Alvaro Negredo, who is currently playing for Sevilla.
Namely, Real Madrid have the option to buy the Sevilla striker for the fee of €17 million and they plan to exercise the option only to use him as part of the deal bringing Kun Aguero to Santiago Bernabeu.
According to latest reports, Atletico plan to recall Eduardo Salvio from his loan at Benfica, which proves they are pondering the sale of Sergio Aguero.
Chelsea stars face the axe
Chelsea chiefs could sell several star players in the summer to balance the books after splashing out on Fernando Torres and David Luiz.
The Blues paid whopping £75 million for Fernando Torres and David Luiz, and several first team regulars could be sold next summer as Chelsea plan to improve their financial situation.
Didier Drogba, John Obi Mikel, Florent Maouda, Jose Bosingwa and Yuri Zhirkov are likely to face the axe unless their performances significantly improve during the next few months.
“There are a few big names and big earners whose performances have fallen short this season,” a Chelsea source revealed.
“If things don’t improve there will be some notable casualties in the summer.
“The competition for places will be keener now and that should be a great motivation for everyone.”
There is no doubt several Chelsea players have been underperforming for quite a while and this could be a great way to earn some money and at the same time lose some extra weight.

Stefan Radu set to sign a new deal
Lazio full-back Stefan Radu is set to sign a new contract with the Serie A outfit, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The 24-year-old attracted a lot of attention with his performances this season and was linked to Barcelona and Juventus among other clubs.
However, according to the latest reports, Radu has agreed to sign a new contract at Lazio following several rounds of negotiations.
The Romania international is expected to sign a new long-term deal within next few days, which will come as great news for Lazio fans.
Lazio have emerged as surprise title contenders this season and this is the first real testament of club’s new found ambition.
Coach Edy Reja has put together a great side at Olimpico and if Lazio are to keep up with Milan and Inter, they desperately need to keep hold of their key players.
