According to a recent report from Marca, Real Madrid are gearing up to offer Federico Valverde a brand new contract with the club. The 20 year old’s current deal isn’t set to expire until 2023, but the Spanish giants want to make sure that his future at the Bernabeu is intact. The belief is that Real see him as a star for the next few years, and given what they’ve invested in him up to this point, that makes a lot of sense. He spent last season on loan at Deportivo La Coruna but has also made a series of first team appearances for Real, with Zinedine Zidane valuing him very highly.
Italian side Napoli are said to have shown some interest in him which is one of the primary reasons as to why Madrid want to lock him down to an even longer contract, and you can’t exactly blame them for that.
