Champions League winners Real Madrid are edging closer to bringing Wolfsburg full-back Ricardo Rodriguez to Santiago Bernabeu, AS has suggested.
It is no secret that los Blancos are hot on the trail of the Switzerland international and they plan to use the Wolves’ interest in Borja Mayoral to improve their chances of winning the chase for his signature.
Namely, Wolfsburg chief Klaus Allofs recently confirmed that they were in talks for the Spanish striker, as they hope to agree a loan deal with an option to buy.
At the same time, Real Madrid are prepared to cash in on Borja Mayoral, but want to secure first option on Ricardo Rodriguez as part of the deal.
The highly rated defender is valued at €25 million and he is on the radar of few more top clubs as well.
