Superstar winger Gareth Bale has just been ruled out for a month with a calf injury, and the news has prompted Real Madrid to consider a stunning move that would see the Welshman move to AC Milan, while Spanish winger Suso would make the move the other way to Madrid.
Real Madrid have lined up a €40m bid for Suso, according to the Guardian, and Milan would be obliged to sell as this fee would activate the Spaniard’s release clause. However reports in Spain are also suggesting that Milan themselves are interested in paying €100m for Gareth Bale, which could prompt a swap deal of some sort.
Bale’s latest injury, the 13th of his Real Madrid career, has ruled the winger out for a month. As Spanish publication Marca notes, this means he has only featured in a third of Real Madrid’s games in his time at the club. The Welshman has had a difficult relationship with the Madrid fans and has been booed on several occasions, so a switch to Milan might be just what he needs to get back into top form.
