According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid will wait until Kylian Mbappe becomes a free agent before making a move.
There had been talk suggesting that Real may try and accelerate things during the January transfer window but as it turns out, they want to be more patient than that.
Mbappe appears to be interested in the prospect of heading to the Bernabeu after some really successful years with Paris Saint-Germain. Alas, with this potentially being the biggest transfer in history from a financial standpoint, they want to get everything in order before pursuing the deal.
Real have wanted to go after Mbappe for the longest time and it would be the kind of transfer that could easily make them legitimate contenders in Europe again. Still, with something this complicated, the odds are likely that this won’t be the smoothest process we’ve ever seen – and all parties know that.
