According to a recent report from Le 10 Sport, Real Madrid are ready to turn their attention back towards trying to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
The belief was that Real would make Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga their number one priority, putting a pin in their Pogba plans for the time being. Alas, with Rennes standing firm on their €75 million valuation of Camavinga, it appears as if Real’s hand has been forced.
While they could probably afford to stump up that kind of cash, it may be the principle of wanting to lower the figure that is throwing the Spanish giants off the scent. Pogba, on the other hand, always seems to be the kind of viable alternative that they can switch back to.
Juventus will undoubtedly have something to say about this too, ensuring a race to secure his signature will ensue throughout the course of the summer transfer window.
